Trinity Device Encryption Service
This service will provide encryption for all laptops and desktops (Windows and Mac) configured for use on the Trinity data network. This will help users secure Trinity work-related data which is confidential or highly sensitive.
Windows devices will be encrypted using BitLocker and macOS devices will be encrypted using FileVault.
Encryption of both will be centrally managed by IT Services.
Who can use this service?
Staff and Postgraduates
Getting started
As part of the Unified Communications project, all existing staff laptops and desktops will be encrypted.
After the initial rollout is completed, any new staff devices connecting to the network will be encrypted automatically.
If you require encryption on your device before this service is deployed to your area, please complete the encryption request form.
Postgraduate students looking to avail of this service must get their supervisor (authorising party) to submit a request on their behalf.
Requirements
Hardware
Windows or Mac computers, configured for use on the Trinity data network.
Supported Operating Systems
The operating system must be running McAfee security software.

- macOS Big Sur (11.x) or later
