  • Usage and troubleshooting support for Microsoft Office 365.

Please note, Microsoft withdrew support for Office 2016 for Mac on October 13th 2020. If you are not sure what version you are using, please follow these steps:

First, check what version of Office and Outlook is installed on your Mac:

  1. Open your Outlook desktop app and from the main menu choose Outlook - About Outlook.
  2. If the Licence information lists either Office 365 Subscription or Microsoft 365 Subscription, then no further action is required.

However, if you are running any other version of Outlook, you need to upgrade to a newer version by following the steps below. This will ensure the security of your data and continued access to this service.

  1. Uninstall the older version of Microsoft Office on the relevant computer. To do this, open Finder - Applications and drag Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to the Trash.
  2. Install the up-to-date version from office.tcd.ie, which can be downloaded on up to five devices.
