RESOLVED: Planned Disruption of Telephone Service

Update: Tuesday, 9th June 2020, 12:20pm
Please be advised that there will be a planned disruption of the College telephone service scheduled for Thursday 11th June between 8am and 12noon, to complete a necessary software upgrade for the telephone system.
While most of us are continuing to work remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic, and will likely not be affected by this service disruption, it will have an impact on any staff or researchers who are working on campus, where telephone calls and voicemail services will be unavailable during this 4-hour upgrade window. Alternative communication methods such as mobile phone, Microsoft Teams and email should be employed during this time.
What if I need to contact the IT Service Desk?
The IT Service Desk phone number 01 896 2000 and Webchat will not be available during the 4-hour upgrade window. However, you can still contact us via email or online during this time. For further information, see https://www.tcd.ie/itservices/contact/
Please note during the upgrade to the telephone service the emergency contact number for College Security is 01 6772951. (The usual College Security Service extension x1999 and the Central College Telephone Number +353 1 896 1000 will not be available on Thursday, 11th June between 8am-12noon.)
