IT Services Alerts - Occasional issue with Breakout Rooms in Collaborate Ultra, January 25th

Listed below are some recently documented audio and video issues with Breakout Rooms in Collaborate Ultra, their temporary workarounds for the user and information regarding their fixes from Blackboard.
In a session with more than 2 breakout groups, in some cases, members of some of the breakout groups are unable to hear each other's audio or see each other's video. Other breakout groups within the session will be unaffected by this issue. This issue does not affect all breakout groups and does not occur for all sessions.
A workaround for this issue is to move all members of the affected breakout group into another breakout group. The other breakout group may be an existing group that is unaffected by the issue, or a new breakout group can be created.
Blackboard is prioritizing investigation work to find a resolution for this issue.
Some text messages from breakout rooms are captured in the recording. Usually when breakout rooms start, the recording stops automatically. But if the instructor/some users stay in the main room the recording may continue thus capturing some messages from the rooms.
Manually stop the recording after starting breakout rooms if it does not happen automatically.
A fix has been already developed and it is scheduled to be released together with the Collaborate February update planned for 25th February*.
