Issue Accessing Specific Content Types in Blackboard Modules for Some Students

The restart completed successfully and both IT Services and Blackboard support can now access the Pages content-type using student test accounts on the affected server.
Please email IT Services at firstname.lastname@example.org if you receive an Access Denied error when accessing certain pages in your module; you can also try logging in via another web browser in the meantime if the issue reoccurs.

The issue has been traced to one of the five Blackboard servers. In an attempt to resolve the issue, Blackboard support will restart the individual server at 1am GMT on Friday morning 20 November.
Users logged into that server at that time may experience a brief interruption.
IT Services will check the issue on Friday morning to confirm if it is resolved.
In the meantime, if you encounter the error below, we encourage you to access the content by logging out and accessing Blackboard via a different browser.

Some students have reported issues accessing specific types of content in some Blackboard modules. They get an error message ‘An error occurred. Contact the System Administrator’ when trying to access Pages but folders load successfully.
The issue is intermittent. Changing the web browser or closing the browser fully and waiting a few minutes to log in again seems to resolve the issue.
IT Services have logged a high-priority ticket to Blackboard support to investigate.
