Login issue for Edugate Federated Access services and Blackboard
Resolved: 19:30 Hours
The underlying issue that caused the problem earlier this afternoon with login to Edugate services, Blackboard (mymodule.tcd.ie) and the integrated teaching and learning systems has now been resolved by IT Services and all services are fully accessible.
There was no further disruption to the services while we fixed the problem and all the services have been fully available since 16:25.
Update: 16:45 Hours
The service that permits Trinity students and staff to login to Blackboard (mymodule.tcd.ie) and the integrated teaching and learning systems suffered an unexpected disruption today at around 15:45. The issue affected students and staff logging into Blackboard, Blackboard integrated services and Edugate services but did not affect anyone already logged in and using these services.
Emergency remedial actions were taken by IT Services to make services available again at 16:25 and the team are continuing the investigation of the underlying issue.
We are currently investigating an issue which is affecting logins to Blackboard and all services that use Edugate Federated Access.
What services are affected?
You may experience issues logging into the following services:
- Blackboard VLE (and integrated services such as Collaborate, Panopto, Turnitin)
- Edugate Federated Access (services such as HEAnet Filesender)
Please note that we anticipate that issue is related to login only - services are fully operational.
