'Visualising Conflict in Palestine', a public event as part of the Imagine Belfast Festival - Dr Brendan Browne

How can images of everyday realities in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem help us talk about the Israel-Palestine conflict? What is the role of photography in communicating stories of daily life in conflict zones?

Please join us for an informal discussion, Dr. Brendan Browne (Trinity College Dublin) and Dr. Julie Norman (Queen's University Belfast), who have spent extensive time living and working in the region. The conversation will be guided by photographs of communities, daily life, and activism in Palestine, taken by Dr. Browne, Dr. Emma Keelan and Dr. Norman, as well as images recorded by young Palestinian photographers.

Venue: Common Grounds Café, 12-24 University Avenue, Belfast BT7 1GY

Date: Tuesday 15th March 2016

Time: 7pm - 8pm

Admission: Free
