Two Seminars on the Crisis for Migrants in Europe

Dr Fintan Sheerin of TCD's School of Nursing and Midwifery will join the seminar on Thursday to talk about his recent experience working as a volunteer with migrants in Calais and Lesvos.

The Central Mediterranean route and the Italian protection/reception system: between myth and reality.


Dr De Sisto is a Visiting Research Fellow in the Irish School of Ecumenics. She serves as a human rights advisor for international and community-based organisations in several countries including Bangladesh, Ethiopia, South Africa, Peru and Nigeria. Her current research focuses on refugees and asylum seekers in Italy - from arrival to the country to their legal recognition.
