ISE student research disseminated at major conferences

On 11 September, Brendan O'Hara, programme manager, All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care, presented a paper entitled 'The Legacy of the Northern Ireland Conflict in Palliative Care' at the conference 'Multi-Disciplinary Standpoints on Conflict Transformation' at Queen's University Belfast.

Brendan, who graduated in 2017, has also had posters accepted for the Annual Marie Curie Palliative Care Research Conference 2017 in London and the Hospice UK National Conference 2017 in Liverpool.

The research findings emanate from Brendan's first class dissertation entitled 'Troubles-Related Trauma and Terminal Illness: The Legacy of the Northern Ireland Conflict in Relation to Care-giving in Palliative and End of Life Care', carried out at part of the MPhil in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation at ISE in Belfast.
