Development Studies Association of Ireland - Expert Panel on DRC - 25 April 2018

A panel discussion on conflict and displacement in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) takes place next Wednesday 25 April 2018 at 18.30.

Venue: Room G16, Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin (see map).

It is organised by the Humanitarian Action Study Group of the Development Studies Association Ireland. Some background: the Democratic Republic of Congo is facing one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. Over 4 million people have been displaced due to conflict, facing immense obstacles and often uncertain futures in their search for safety. Meanwhile, crises in neighbouring states are driving cross-border movements in a wider region long beset by cycles of conflict and poverty.

  • Niamh Gaynor (Dublin City University)
  • Seán Ó hAodha (Irish Aid)
