CROWLEY, John (director) ()

A graduate of University College, Cork, John Crowley came to film from a background in theatre. He contributed to the Beckett on Film project with COME AND GO before making the Dublin caper movie, INTERMISSION, for Neil Jordan and Stephen Woolley’s Company of Wolves production company. In 2007 he directed Boy A for Film Four productions, and followed this in 2008 with Is Anybody There?, starring Michael Caine as an elderly magician who moves to a retirement home and develops a relationship with a young boy who lives there.
