Blackstone LaunchPad at Trinity
In July 2015 the Taoiseach and Vice-Provost announced that The Blackstone Charitable Foundation was to establish a partnership with Trinity College Dublin.
The purpose of the partnership is to introduce entrepreneurship as a viable career option and provide all Trinity students, regardless of faculty, with a network of venture coaches and an entrepreneurial support system.
Blackstone LaunchPad is an experiential, campus program open to all students, alumni, staff and faculty designed to introduce entrepreneurship as a viable career path and develop entrepreneurial skills and mindsets through individualised coaching, ideation and venture creation support. Based on a successful model started at the University of Miami in the US, the program is currently available to over 500,000 students in many campuses globally including NUI Galway and University College Cork in Ireland. Influenced by the enterprising heritage of Blackstone and its founders, the Blackstone Charitable Foundation is directing the firm’s resources and intellectual capital to support entrepreneurship and economic development.
