Trinity College Dublin students who participated as International Student Ambassadors for the past academic year were honoured yesterday at an event hosted by Education in Ireland.

Anchal, a Medical student from India, and Heidi, an English Literature Masters student from the US, were both presented with certificates celebrating their achievements by Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O’Sullivan T. D.

The annual event honours the International Student Ambassadors for their contribution in supporting the work of Education in Ireland and partner universities in attracting international students to study here.  The ceremony also honoured the Higher Education Authority’s Government of Ireland Scholars on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills.

The event was hosted at Farmleigh House, Ireland’s official State guest house, in the Phoenix Park. Ambassadors from Brazil, China, Malaysia, Canada, Singapore, and Turkey were also in attendance.
