e-lab
offers you a set of exercises with hints, explanations
and answers, so that you get immediate feedback on your
performance in a particular exercise. During your year abroad,
you can work with e-lab whenever it is convenient - or necessary
- for you. Through the types of exercises and topics you
will have guidance and support while being in charge of
your own learning. |
You
have to do 11 tests during your year abroad,
one each at the beginning and end of each semester. On completion
of the test an email with your result is sent to us, so
that we can monitor your progress, inform you about areas
that need improvement and suggest a 'study plan' etc. |
After
the first test, i.e. during the first semester,
we suggest you consolidate the more complex grammatical
topics such as indirect speech and attributes, and keep
up the topics that need continuous attention, such as adjectival
endings, case etc. |
After
the second test you should have achieved a high
level of proficiency in those areas and while keeping them
up to ensure that you do not develop 'bad habits' you should
also start on the more complex text-based exercises. |
Bulletin
Board: Throughout the year we we would like you
to stay in touch with your fellow students by exchanging
information about living and studying in Germany and by
asking and answering questions that arise through using
this page, through life abroad, studying abroad and through
working abroad. |
You
will also find a list of links on e-lab.
They are intended to help you with learning German (newspapers,
dictionaries), using the internet (search engines) and the
organization and planning of your work placement. |
Course-specific
information can be found by clicking the Business
and German link. |
