A pilot programme of face-to-face Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Training was delivered jointly by the Director of Diversity & Inclusion and the Equality Officer in 2017/18, with both student and staff groups taking part.
The training covers key EDI concepts, Trinity policies and diversity stats, and a variety of practical scenarios. It concludes with a goal-setting exercise for ongoing progress after the training. Feedback has been very positive and it is intended to rollout the training to further groups in the coming months.
Trinity has a comprehensive Gender Identity and Gender Expression Policy which gives practical guidance on how to be inclusive of all gender identities in the Trinity context. As part of the implementation of this policy, and Trinity's general commitment to equality and diversity, Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI) have been engaged to deliver introductory training in gender identity and transgender inclusion.

If you have equality training needs that are not addressed by the options currently available in Trinity, please contact the Equality Officer to discuss.
NGO groups, for example, can be engaged to deliver training on their specific areas of expertise (anti-racism, anti-ageism, intercultural communication, etc.).
