Clare Malone - Occupational Therapist

Biography: Clare is an Occupational Therapist who joined the Disability Service in November 2017. Clare graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy in 2014 and has since worked in a range of healthcare areas including Adult Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health. Having been a Trinity student herself in recent years, Clare has a good personal understanding of the current demands of third level education and hopes to draw on this in combination with her professional experience to support service users to the develop the skills to effectively manage their student role.

Clare has a particular interest in Deaf culture and Deaf mental health, and has been studying Irish Sign Language for two years. Clare hopes to further develop her professional knowledge and skills in this area.

Clare is a member of the AOTI (Association of Occupational Therapists in Ireland) and is registered with CORU, the regulatory body for health and social care professionals.
