Aisling Claffey - Occupational Therapist

Biography: Aisling is an Occupational Therapist who joined the Disability Service in October 2019. Aisling graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy in 2019. As a recent graduate from Trinity, Aisling is familiar with life in Trinity and the challenges that can accompany the student role. Aisling has experience in a range of areas including Paediatric Services, Dementia Care and Adult Rehabilitation.

Aisling has an interest in adolescent mental health and has been to Sri Lanka to volunteer with services in this area. Aisling has an interest in the social participation of adolescents with ASD and has completed a literature review in this area. Aisling is currently exploring the challenges faced by third level students with Development Coordination Disorder and she hopes to improve her professional knowledge and skills in this area.

Aisling is a member of the AOTI (Association of Occupational Therapists in Ireland) and is registered with CORU, the regulatory body for health and social care professionals.
