Irish in 1871IR 1025-7: Cleachtadh teanglainne (5 ECTS)

In this module students will become familiar with the distinctive sounds of the dialect they have chosen to study and begin to master their employment in their own speech. Students will develop their aural skills in the dialect of their choice, familiarise themselves with the natural rhythm of native speakers, and develop confidence in their ability to converse in Irish with both native and non-native speakers. Students will learn to recognise the importance of imitation in language acquisition.
