Irish in 1871IR 1024: Ceart na teanga I (10 ECTS)

This module lays the foundations for good writing skills in Modern Irish. Students are taught to appreciate the considerable differences between Irish and English idiom and to familiarise themselves with basic techniques in translation, both from Irish to English and from English to Irish. This module helps students develop a working knowledge of Irish syntax, nominal declension and verbal conjugation, and a wide vocabulary in Modern Irish.
