Dr Dhivyabharathi Bhaskaran is a post-doctoral research fellow in the School of Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering at Trinity College Dublin. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India, where she investigated and developed real-time prediction methodologies based on statistical techniques, and higher-order traffic flow models to predict the arrival time of public transit buses.

Her research interests are Traffic flow modelling, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Public Transportation, Big data analytics, and Predictive modelling. She has six publications in top-tier transportation journals, nine international conference proceedings and two book chapters. Three patents have been filed and published based on her doctoral research findings. S

She has worked on various research projects in the domain of Congestion prediction, Last mile connectivity solutions, Departure time planning, Crash risk assessment, Highway traffic performance monitoring etc. She is also a working member of the TRB highway traffic monitoring committee. She completed her first assignment with TCD in Transportation Data Analysis – Phase II project associated with Transportation Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and ARUP. She is currently designing a virtual demonstration framework for connected and autonomous vehicle implementation in the Augmented CCAM project.
