Innovation in Action
The Trinity Centre for Social Innovation engages with the wider stakeholder and practice communities to translate research by our academic teams into innovation in action. Visit some of our current 'innovation in action' initiatives in the fields of social housing, sustainable cities and international cooperation.
- Connecting Nature A collaboration with the School of Natural Sciences, we seek to provide sustainable nature-based solutions for smart cities and climate change. Funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Innovation programme, the project is working with 11 European cities to help them transition to more sustainable and resilient cities.
- Newground Working with Mazars Ireland to build a social enterprise model to bring low-cost rental properties into the housing system in Ireland and a pilot project to the Board of the Irish Housing Finance Agency.
- VIBE Collaborating with the Centre for Social and Entrepreneurship in the National Economics University in Hanoi, Vietnam, we are piloting a digital engagement map of social innovation in the city and developing curricula for third level and executive education programmes in social innovation and enterprise.
