David Tallon

Dave is an awarded communications strategist and has worked in leadership roles in advertising for 20 years. Dave has worked for advertising agencies both local and global including DMB&B in New York and directorships in Interpublic Group, Starcom and laterally Group Strategy Director of Core, Ireland’s largest communication group. Dave has worked as a strategic communications advisor for some of the biggest brands in the country, helping to craft their stories in interesting and magnetic ways including; SuperValu, Centra, Tesco, Diageo, Heineken, Samsung, Valeo Foods and Communicorp. Dave established a new strategy division within Core, focussing on advertising strategy, communications planning, research, insights and marketing strategy.

In 2016, Dave founded UP, a strategy and innovation consultancy, focussed on brand development and communications strategy. UP has worked with a diverse list of clients including; Heineken, Toyota, Yuko, Enterprise Ireland, Hidden Hearing and Bushmills Global. Dave also lectures on advertising on the Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising in DIT, speaks at industry events and writes regularly on the subject of marketing, advertising and innovation.
