
Biography
Dr Jolanta Burke is a psychologist with years of experience in business, where she worked as a HR and Training Manager for close to 2 decades. She managed teams of up to 15 people, including virtual teams, which were scattered around the UK and Ireland. In addition to this, Dr Burke has worked as an executive coach for over 10 years helping leaders (mainly CEOs and MDs) develop their business and personal skills to manage it more effectively.
Over the last few years, she has continued working with organisations as a consultant and delivered events in various industries ranging from Technology (e.g. Google, Storyful), Finance (e.g. Primerica, Cornmarket), State agencies (e.g. Food Safety Authority, Gas Network), through to Estate agents (e.g. DTZ, Marsh & Parsons), Pharmaceutical (e.g. Pfizer, Novartis), Patient Care (e.g. ISQUA, IPSEN), Education (e.g. DIT, TCD), Mental Health (e.g. Aware, PCI) and many more.
Since 2016, Dr Burke has been a senior lecturer and a programme leader of the largest postgraduate programme at the University of East London, i.e. Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, which is constantly growing and currently reaching over 400 students (on campus and distance learning). She has published several journal papers, book chapters, books, and has been a key note speaker at conferences around the world. In addition to this, she has frequently appeared in the Irish media on RTE, Today FM (the Sunday Business Show), Dublin City FM to mention a few, and was acknowledged by the Irish Times as one of 30 people who make Ireland a happier place.
