
Biography
A scientist by training, Eoin O’Neill has worked Westinghouse –a US engineering company, as well as in the government and university sectors on large projects.
His experience includes major energy provision and industrial infrastructural projects, policy formulation and analysis, international cooperation in research, and in entrepreneurship training, and the planning and analysis of small companies based on new technology. Since 2003 he has taught on postgraduate courses for the MBA and MSc Finance in Trinity Business School, as well as delivering courses on Intellectual Property for the Innovation Academy.
Eoin’s interest in venture capital arose as Director of Innovation Services in Trinity College, when he organised the College’s support programmes for new ventures over a 25 year period, serving as a director of several successful companies as well as some that failed. He has been studying venture capital with colleagues across Europe on several EU-funded research programmes since 1998, and has collaborated with colleagues in Europe, Japan, the United States and Latin America.
