Biography
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science (I.B.) from Trinity College Dublin. Following graduation in 1988, he worked as a software engineer for a year in California. From 1989 to 2003, he worked in Ireland as software engineer, senior engineer, team leader, engineering manager and Head of Engineering for various multinationals from the United States (Westinghouse), Germany (Siemens) and the United Kingdom (LogicaCMG). In 2003, he established Openmind as CEO, raising €4.5 million. Openmind is a 100 person, €10M plus telecoms software business with operations in Dublin, Prague, Kuala Lumpur, Amsterdam and with sales offices in San Francisco and Dubai. Alex led a management buyout of Openmind in September 2017.
