The Pension Policy Research Group annual conference will be held on Tuesday 21st June in Trinity College Dublin. The conference aims to promote discussion on current pension policy issues. The 2016 Trinity MBA Reception, in the atmospheric Atrium at the Dining Hall, brought MBA candidates together with employers from a range of companies as well as company project representatives, faculty and alumni. This year, a key note talk was given by Patrick Joy (Class of 1998), the Founder of Suretank and and 2013 EY Entrepreneur of the Year

We were delighted to welcome the 1996 MBA class back to Trinity Business School to celebrate their 20 year reunion in March. Members of the group visited their MBA classroom, which was located in the Arts Block at the time, as well as the current home of the Business School, Aras an Phiarsaigh. It was great to host them in Senior Commons for a “Welcome Back Reception” and also visit the construction site of the new Trinity Business School overlooking the rugby pitch. And, of course, they got the opportunity to enjoy a drink in Trinity’s famous Pav.

The 2016 Trinity MBA Reception will take place in Trinity College Dublin’s atmospheric Atrium at the Dining Hall on Wednesday, May 25th at 6pm.
The event brings together leading international and domestic organisations involved with the programme’s company projects as well as MBA candidates and alumni.

The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is delighted to be hosting this year’s programme of events for Trinity Week. The theme for the week is “Memory”. The public is invited to participate in this week long programme which will include exciting events which demonstrate the key role memory plays in the teaching and research in the Faculty. Trinity Week commences on “Trinity Monday”, 11th April. The ceremony is one of the oldest and most colourful at Trinity College and refers back to the foundation of Trinity College in 1592 as a corporation consisting of the Provost, the Fellows and the Scholars.This is followed by a week of events including symposia, lectures, roundtable discussions and many other events around the theme of memory, which will be of interest to the general public. Our Dean of Trinity Business School, Andrew Burke, recently gave his Inaugural Lecture on 'The New Entrepreneurship'. In this lecture, Andrew explored the evolution of entrepreneurship research and practice over the last 25 years. He argued that while the impact of entrepreneurship has increased in importance for business and economic performance over this period, entrepreneurship itself has changed dramatically in terms of the typical person, business organisation and strategies that drive entrepreneurial performance.

This year’s Eduniversal Best Business School Rankings have been announced and Trinity Business School has once again reached the No. 1 spot in Ireland with 5 Palmes of Excellence

Our Director of the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Neil Dunne announced the new Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting has been officially accredited by ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). More specifically, we have been granted the full suite of exemptions!'

Congratulations to our lecturer in Social Entrepreneurship, Sheila Cannon, on winning the ARNOVA Award for her Outstanding Dissertation in Nonprofit and Voluntary Action Research. Sheila’s Research was titled:
“Surviving the peace: Processes of Organisational Identity Work in Response to Deinstitutionalisation of Irish Peacebuilding”.

Congratulations to our Masters students who were literally jumping for joy in this video after graduating from their MSc classes recently. The graduation ceremony was held in the dining hall of Trinity College and continued in the Shelbourne hotel, St. Stephens Green..

Demand for the Trinity MSc in Management is high Professor in International Strategic Management, Padraic Regan, along with our Student Recruitment Officer, Eoghan O’Sullivan, recently held over 100 one-to-one interviews with prospective Graduate Business School students at 3 Education Fairs (Delhi, Mumbai and Pune) over a four-day period.
