Hear From Our Graduates
Liam Pierce, Postgraduate Dimploma in Accounting Graduate
Current employment: Trainee Accountant, KPMG, Dublin
"This programme has been a tremendous experience. The class was incredibly diverse and I’ve made friends with people from around the world. The lecturers on the programme are first class, very approachable and each one has their own unique career background.
The Business School also hosted many events to help with our careers: CV workshops, interview practice sessions and other seminars. Another highlight was getting involved in Trinity’s Student Managed Investment Fund as an analyst."
Thomas Roche, Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Graduate
Current employment: Audit Trainee, KPMG, Dublin
"The lecturers in Trinity Business School have real world experience that they bring into their teaching of theoretical ideas. There’s also a wide range backgrounds and nationalities of students within the Business School. It’s an industry focused school within a very traditional university, so students get the best of both worlds.
Be sure to get to know your class intake early on. There's a lot of group projects so it's easier to form groups with people who you'd like to work with. When job hunting, be sure to attend the in-school recruitment events by the various companies/firms. Talk to the current graduates in the roles you're applying for. You get a good feel for the culture within the organisation from these events. Don't restrict yourself to just the Business School for your network. Get involved in the business related societies on campus i.e. Trinity Student Managed Fund, Trinity Investors. You can also meet other business students through sports clubs such as rugby and rowing."
Sandhya Raghuvanshi, Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Graduate
Current employment: Audit Trainee at Deloitte, Dublin
"Trinity Business School is perfectly located at the heart of the city, so it is easy to get around. Explore everything that the city has to offer. The Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting offers the best possible mix of practical and theoretical knowledge. Lectures are great. Exposure to group project work, in-class interactions, and interaction with other international students will all be significant for your academic as well as your social life.
I sought admission in the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting coming from a non-accountancy background. The modules on offer gave us a deep insight into the subject with constant support and comprehensive lecture slides from the lecturers. There was sufficient infrastructure in place to enable you to study whenever you wanted, including a 24 hour reading room.
As soon as I completed the course I got a job offer from one of the Big 4. There was always assistance available. Not only did I enjoy the academic side of things, but there are so many societies and association within the university where I involved myself and made the most of it. I wouldn’t have learnt about the other cultures and know people from the other side of the globe if I had not been here. I have really enjoyed balancing study with exploring this wonderful city."
