Donald Storrie, Chief Researcher/Co-ordinator, Eurofound
Donald Storrie is Chief Researcher at Eurofound, the Dublin based EU agency which carries our policy research on employment, working life and living conditions in Europe.
Donald was previously Director of the Centre for European Labour Market Studies in Sweden. He has also worked at the Swedish Ministry of Employment and was Business Editor at Dagens Industri, Sweden’s main business daily newspaper.
He is Project Manager of The Future of Manufacturing in Europe, a Pilot Project proposed by the European Parliament and delegated by the European Commission to eurofound. This project explores the implications of advanced manufacturing for employment in Europe. His published research has covered topics such as unemployment and health, temporary employment contracts, geographical mobility, European employment policy and the evaluation of active labour market policy.
He is Associate Professor of Economics at Gothenburg University, Sweden and Policy Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics - IZA (Germany). He has a BSc in mathematics and a PhD in economics.
