Since establishing Trilogy Technologies in 2009 through acquisition, Edel has successfully grown the company into one of the leading IT Managed Services providers in the Irish market and in the UK. In 2018 she further completed the acquisition of Zinopy Security, doubling the business in size and deepening the portfolio of services. Trilogy is a multi-award winning company, the most recent being TechExcellence Company of the Year 2019 plus the Professional Development Award.

In December 2019 she agreed the sale of Trilogy Technologies to IT procurement and services company Arkphire Group. The deal marks the first major move of significant scale towards industry consolidation in the Irish ICT Managed Services sector as businesses seek outsourced support to meet ever more complex and demanding IT infrastructure and business transformation challenges.

Following this acquisition, the newly enlarged group now creates the largest and fastest growing Irish headquartered IT procurement and IT managed services business with combined revenues close to €150 million and employing 220 people.


Edel was appointed to the board of Ibec in 2015, elected Deputy President in September 2016 and completed her 1 year term as President of Ibec in September 2018. With a keen interest in European and International affairs, she Chair's Ibec's EU Affairs and Trade Policy Committee.

Edel has long been a prominent advocate for the indigenous tech sector in Ireland. She was Chair of the Irish Software Association, a forerunner to Ibec’s Technology Ireland, for 2 years. She has served on Enterprise Ireland’s Advisory Group on strategy for the software sector 2015-2020, the High Potential Start-up Advisory Panel and the government’s ICT Skills Action Plan for Jobs Steering Group. She recently served on Science Foundation Ireland's Expert Strategy Panel 2020-2025.

Awarded a Fellowship of the Irish Computer Society in 2015, in 2017 Edel was Awarded Tech Excellence 'IT Person of the Year'.

Edel has a degree in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, is a classically trained violinist and plays regularly with the Hibernian Orchestra. She has also served as a non-executive director of cancer awareness charity The Marie Keating Foundation from 2015-2018.
