"Corporate Competition and Concentration after COVID-19" - Webinar
This month our colleagues in Trinity Research I Social Sciences (TRiSS) are hosting a special once-off lecture by Thomas Philippon, Max L. Heine, Professor of Finance at the Stern School of Business, New York University.
At New York University Prof Philippon teaches on topics such as Risk Management in Financial Institutions. In addition to his professorship at NYU, Philippon has held visiting positions at Columbia University, Chicago University, Yale University, and Princeton University. He joined the Monetary Policy Advisory Panel at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 2015. He also serves as the Scientific Committee Director at the French Prudential Supervisory Authority and as a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He was associate editor of the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics from 2007-2015. He won the Brattle Prize in 2008 for his paper "The Risk-Adjusted Cost of Financial Distress." In 2014 he was named one of the top 25 economists under the age of 45 by the IMF.
