Research Interests

My background is in chemistry particularly instrumental chemical analysis. I am interested in chemometrics which involves the use of mathematical and statistical techniques to extract information from chemical data. My MSc research project utilised chemometric techniques to characterise deep ocean water for dissolved organic matter by marine or terrestrial origin. I am currently responsible for the design and construction of the new marine mesocosm facility which will be used to investigate the impacts of ocean warming and acidification on benthic organisms.
