Birds of a feather: Two new species discovered by Trinity zoologists

Darren O'Connell, Nicola Marples, David Kelly and Fionn Ó Marcaigh recently published the paper "A sympatric pair of undescribed white-eye species (Aves: Zosteropidae: Zosterops) with different origins" in the Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society link here

This paper highlighted two new bird species for the islands off Sulawesi and described their contrasting evolutionary origin. The paper has generated significant media attention including; an RTE news segment click here to see more about it
