In your first few weeks at Trinity, it is a good idea to get to know what facilities and services are available to you. Once you start your courses, attending lectures and doing assignments you will find you have less time to explore all that college has to offer you.

Trinity Library

Trinity Library is the biggest repository of books and journals in Ireland and keeps a copy of everything published in Ireland and the British Isles. There is a huge range of online databases and journals. Each subject has a subject librarian who is an expert in their field and can help you find appropriate reading material and other advice regarding your topic. The library runs HITS (Helpful Information for Trinity Students) courses throughout the term. These training sessions show students how to use the library, search for journals, use databases and much more. The Library also gives training in Endnote which is a reference management software programme which is very useful for referencing your assignments correctly as well as developing bibliographies. IT Services

IT Services provide a range of resources for students throughout the year including orientation information for new students on how to access your college email account and to get your own devices connected to the college network. Full details are available at https://www.tcd.ie/itservices/

Disability Service

The Disability Service supports students with disabilities throughout their progress through college. They work with the student to ascertain the level of support required by the student and they can negotiate accommodations with academic courses if necessary.
