Criteria & Eligibility
All applicants must satisfy the normal entry requirements of the University and have been offered a place on a course in Trinity.
Applicants must demonstrate outstanding ability in their named sport and demonstrate their ability to compete at National/International level.
Continuation on the Scholarship programme each year is dependent on the recipient making satisfactory progress in both academic and sporting performance.
All sports scholars must be a member of an NGB recognised by Sport Ireland.
All sports scholars must have an intention to compete at elite level in their sport.
All sports scholars must have the intention to represent the college and compete as a member of their college sports club.
All sports scholars must commit to training to reflect their targets and benchmarks.
All sports scholars must have a nomination / reference from their NGB and/or representative coach.
All sports scholars must be eligible to compete for the college.
All sports scholars must abide by and sign the Trinity Sport Scholarship agreement.
All sports scholars must declare all injuries, illness or failed drug tests upon application or as soon as the area aware of them.
All sports scholars must have clear progression goals and a detailed progression plan.
All sports scholars must agree to a medical / physical assessment.
All sports scholars must represent Trinity College Dublin intervarsity and national league teams where appropriate competition pathway is in place
