6 Week Pregnancy Yoga Course with Lisa Corrigan

Pregnancy yoga and birth preparation classes will entail:
• Deep breathing, active postures, labour and birth positions and birth muscle toning are the main focus of my classes.
• Using the breath you will learn how to control the pelvic floor muscles, preparing them to assist in pushing baby into your arms.
• No previous yoga experience is necessary I encourage you to work at your own pace listening to your body and its needs.
• My goal is to help you have a healthier pregnancy and gain your confidence for labour birth and motherhood.
• Attend from 14 weeks.
About the Teacher
Lisa began practising yoga in 2000 and has been working with children and families since 1997. She is a 200 hour RYT (Yoga Alliance), a qualified trust in birth pre and post natal yoga teacher through the Elbow Room, Dublin (Yoga Alliance Registered) and a kids yoga teacher trained by Rainbowkids Yoga (Yoga Alliance Registered).
She is also a certified infant massage instructor (CIMI) with the International Association of Infant Massage and holds an MSc. in Child Health, a BSc. in Occupational Therapy and a Diploma in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. She is currently in receipt of a health research board PhD scholarship in Trinity College Dublin and is conducting her research in the area of pregnancy yoga.
