Application Form - 2017

Come join the Trinity College Dublin Sports Camp this summer. We promise it will be the best time you’ll have this summer. Meet our energetic camp leaders for five days of exciting sports, recreational games and above all FUN. You will experience rock climbing, trampolining, swimming, soccer, dodgeball, unihoc, tag rugby and many more but most importantly make new friends and perhaps re-unite with past campers.

Age Groups

  • 4-5yrs: Bumblebees

Experience a vast range of fun activities; swimming, trampoline, dance, arts & crafts, nature walks and the fundamentals of sport.

  • 6-7yrs: Grasshoppers

Cover all aspects of sporting activities; swimming, climbing, GAA, basketball, trampoline & much more.

  • 8-10yrs: Sharks

Suitable for all abilities. Qualified coaches will lead activities in rugby, climbing, swimming, tennis, trampoline and much more

  • 11-13yrs: Red Hawks

This is the ideal programme for the active camper whose main interest is sport. This includes sports with something different planned each day.

  • 14-15yrs: Warriors (Only available weeks: 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5)

A wide range of gym based exercises and classes such as bootcamp, rip 60, boxfit, nutritional talks as well as many team games and challenges designed by the experienced Camp leaders.

*Sibling discount of €5 per additional child. Only applies if you are booking in for a full week of camp.
The children are given an opportunity to enjoy sports in various locations indoors and outdoors while learning and developing new skills.

What do you need to bring?

  • Packed lunch + drink
  • Suitable playing gear, tracksuit, shorts, runners.
  • Change of clothes.
  • Rain jacket
  • Sun cream
  • Swimming gear; swim togs, swim hat, towel, plastic bag- to put wet togs into, hairbrush, flip flops, shampoo &/ shower gel, goggles and armbands (if desired)
  • Some food may not be allowed due to allergies. Notification will be given prior to camp.

We suggest labelling clothes so we can reunite them with their owners, should they go missing. We will have a “Lost & Found Property” in the climbing wall area every morning and afternoon so you can have a look there for any missing items. Anything left at the end of the camp will be kept for one month and will then be donated to charity. We do not accept responsibility for lost items. Items may not be left overnight.


What should be left at home?
  • Personal toys & sports equipment
  • Animals- you’d be surprised what children like to put into their bags!
  • Cameras/Ipads/kindle's
  • Cash
  • Chewing gum

Where should I go on the day?

We are located on the corner of Pearse St and Westland Row, there is a pedestrian access is between the Sports Centre and The Science Gallery. When you arrive at the Sports Centre reception, you will be directed to Ancillary Hall on the 1st floor.

**Please Note**
Camp starts at 9.30am. You will not be allowed in before this. We will not make any exception for any that is late for work etc. We ask parents to respect this decision.

How to book and make payment?

We give you the opportunity to select how many weeks your child would like to attend. Please make sure you secure your place in advance. In order for your place to be secured, we would kindly ask you to make the full payment for the camp. You can download an Application Form with Terms & Conditions. This will need to be completed and signed with full payment.

Payment Options

  • Book and pay at the Sports Centre reception desk.
  • Book and pay over the phone 01 896 1812. You must then send your application form by post to Trinity College Sports Centre, Trinity College, Dublin 2 or email your form to Michelle conveym@tcd.ie  
  • Complete the application form and send it with a cheque made payable to TCD.No 1 account.
Please book early to avoid disappointment as places on camp are very limited.

 “Dear Michelle, my daughter Bianca spent two weeks in your Summer Camp (Red Hawks, from July 14th to 25th) and I'm writing now (after our holidays at the seaside), because I want to THANK YOU so much for everything you did to make her feel welcome. She ENJOYED the Camp VERY MUCH! She met some lovely friends and also the young people who looked after the kids were very very nice. The activities were exciting and she did lots of things she had never done before. And no need to mention how much English she learnt! While I was working in Dublin, it was a great help for me knowing that she was so well looked after and enjoying herself in a safe and beautiful environment!
I'd also ask you to thank Rosie, with whom I exchanged e-mail in the beginning. I would address this letter to the Director of the Sports Centre, if I knew him/her, just to tell what a wonderful service you are running.
