Professor in Political Science, Raj Chari Launches New Report on Irish Government's TransparencyProf Chari was chosen as an independent researcher, by Open Government Partnership, to evaluate the Irish Government's progress on its Action Plan 2016-18. His report shows no progress in anti-corruption measures but finds significant progress in governance of charities.

Trinity Politics Department rated in world top 50In the 2018 QS Politics Rankings, Trinity College Dublin is rated number 1 in Ireland, 16 in Europe, and 43 in the world. The department has consistently been ranked in the world's top 50, reflecting its international reputation for excellence.

PSAI award for Dr Michelle D'ArcyDr Michelle D'Arcy was awarded the 2016 Political Science Association of Ireland award for excellence in teaching and learning. The Award was presented on 14 October at the PSAI Annual Conference by former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

New appointment in Political ScienceThe Department welcomes Dr Gizem Arikan, who joins us from Yasar University in Turkey. Dr Arikan researches in the area of comparative political behaviour and she teaches Public Opinion and Political Participation as well as Political Psychology.
