B.Eng. in Electronics and Computer Systems, University of Limerick, 1984. Currently working on a non-contact voltage sensor project under the supervision of Prof. Igor Shvets in the Applied Physics Group.
Brief Bio
Joseph worked initially in Amsterdam for Textlite B.V. ( now Daktronics, USA ) developing public information display systems for airports, train stations and bus stops becoming R&D Manager in 1986. In 1998 he spearheaded Datamate Global Communications, a spinout from his former employer to grow the enterprise messaging business, which had clients in London, New York and Los Angeles. In 2010 he was a lead Product Engineer in a joint venture between Menolinx ( Israel ) and Selc ( Ireland ) to develop novel energy saving solutions for municipal lighting, which has recently been acquired by Xylem, USA. Since joining Trinity in 2013 he has been working on a range of LV Transformer monitoring and energy delivery analytics projects which are showing spinout potential
