Trinity Research Excellence Awards 2023

We are delighted to extend congratulations to our colleague Professor Vasilis Politis on receiving a Research Excellence Award for 2023, in the category of 'Push the Boundaries of Knowledge.'

These awards celebrate the rich diversity of research undertaken within Trinity College Dublin. They are presented to researchers who embody the principles outlined in the college's Research Charter, showcasing their remarkable dedication and impact in their respective fields.

Vasilis received this well-deserved recognition at a special ceremony held in the College on June 1.

 

 

Dermot McAleese Teaching Awards 2023

Congratulations to our colleague Peter Maher, who was presented with the Dermot McAleese Teaching Award in Philosophy at a ceremony on May 30, in recognition of his commitment to achieving excellence in teaching and learning.

Established 11 years ago by the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, the awards acknowledge the important work of teaching assistants - the impact that excellent TA’s can have on undergraduates and how they can relate to students in ways that faculty sometimes can’t.

Peter is a teaching assistant for the Topics and Central Problems in Philosophy B modules.
