Irish Studies is an interdisciplinary programme which has been designed by the Irish, English and History Departments to give undergraduates the opportunity to study in depth the language, literature, history and culture of Ireland. This course had its final intake of students in 2015-16 and will now be phasing out.
Irish Studies students can choose between Strand A, in which all modules are taught through English, or Strand B, in which many modules are taught through Irish. The Irish Department teaches in both strands. Our modules include:
- Irish Language and Literature
- Ceart agus Labhairt na Teanga
- Pobal agus Teanga
- Stair na Gaeilge
