Trace Element Facilities
The Trace Element Facilities are categorised into a number of different equipment sections:
- Autosampler
- Sample handling
- Balances
- Other equipment
Our trace element and geochronology facilities are based on a Thermo SCIENTIFIC iCAP Q (model s) Quadrupole ICP mass spectrometer. It is being used for ultra-low detection limit trace element analysis in conjunction with a sample handling system and an autosampler and for in situ analysis with a Photon Machines Analyte Excite Excimer UV laser.
