  • An Ghaeilge sa Nua-Aoiseacht Dhéanach: an meon i leith éagsúlacht teanga sa Ghaeilge by Noel Ó Murchadha
  • Cíorann an saothar seo an éagsúlacht theangeolaíoch sa Ghaeilge chomhaimseartha labhartha agus na luachanan a nasctar, go follasach agus go folaithe, leis an éagsúlacht sin. Bíodh is go mbaineann gradam follasach leis na canúintí traidisiúnta Gaeltachta, maítear go bhfuil luach faoi leith ar chleachtais teanga iarthraidisiúnta atá forleathan agus atá ag scaipeadh, ach nach bhfuil faoi ghradam follasach.

This book examines linguistic variation in contemporary spoken Irish through the prism of late modernity, and the values that are linked, implicitly and explicitly, to linguistic variation in Irish. While the three main Gaeltacht dialects have traditionally been valorized, it is argued that newly emerging linguistic practices enjoy a prestige status of their own, albeit an implicit one.
