Message from Director of Global Relations
On March 12th, 2020 Trinity College Dublin announced a shutdown of its Campuses due to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Despite the shutdown, Trinity remained operational and all academic activities continued online.
All our International Students at the School of Education, including visiting EU and Non-EU students, Erasmus students, Exchange students and Study Abroad students, were able to attend their lectures and seminar remotely, get support for their coursework, submit their assessment online, and ultimately complete their modules – even though most International Students chose to return to their home countries during the pandemic.
Feedback from our students at the School of Education was overwhelmingly positive throughout this delicate transition. Our teaching staff worked incessantly to ensure excellence in teaching and learning, and so has the Trinity Global Relations office team to ensure support and clear communication, with safety as a priority for all our students and staff.
In 2020/21, Trinity College will continue to offer excellent educational experiences for all students, including International Students. The University will remain open and fully operational, with teaching and learning at the School of Education resuming on 28th September and offered as a mixture of face-to-face and online teaching, in line with University policy. Face-to-face sessions will of course strictly adhere to University and HSE guidelines and be rigorously monitored to ensure compliance.
Trinity College will to continue to offer, where possible, Erasmus exchanges to students in the first semester in 2020/21. Please refer to more detailed information here for everything you need to know in relation to 2020/21 Erasmus Programmes.
