Adjusting your slide layout

Challenge to Accessibility:

When selecting a layout for your design it is important not to select the blank template. In choosing the blank template you are removing all the in-built headings and structure that a design layout provides. Heading and structure is needed by those with a visual impairment to navigate the presentation quicker and easily.

How to ensure slide layout accessibility:

• When creating a new slide, you can choose the slide layout by navigating to File > New Slide (Format > Slide Layout in older versions), once selected the slide layout options will be displayed.

• Choose from a text, content or other option which displays the slide in a manner appropriate for your requirements. If presenting textual information the option 'Title and Text' would be the most appropriate.
