Professional Development
The materials and resources shared here have been developed initially to support Trinity academics as they adapt to remote teaching and learning during Covid-19 restrictions. These resources will also be of use to anyone who is interested in learning more about effective pedagogies for blended, hybrid and online learning.
While the move to remote teaching and learning during Covid-19 may be new for many academics, there is a wealth of existing literature on effective pedagogies for digital learning. These resources, writing by experts in digital education, are underpinned by such evidence-based pedagogies and where appropriate, they are supported by links to practical, technology-focused ‘how-to’ guides created by colleagues in eLearning and IT Services. Please note that for all queries relating to Blackboard, please contact the IT Service desk directly.
A comprehensive self-paced accredited professional development programme Adapting our Teaching for Learning Online [hyperlink] is also available to Trinity staff in Blackboard. This module can be taken on a self-study basis or it may contribute to Trinity’s Special Purpose Certificate in Academic Practice [hyperlink].
