A concession rate (

College Dublin undergraduate students who are
not taking this course for ECTS credits, to Trinity
College Dublin postgraduate students with
a letter from their head of department or
supervisor indicating that they are required
to develop their Russian-language skills, and
those in receipt of a social welfare pension.
If you are unemployed or in receipt of a social
welfare payment, contact the facilitator in your
local social welfare office. You may be entitled
to certain assistance in funding. The number of
concession rate places in any given class is
restricted to twenty per cent. Payment must
accompany applications.

Time and place
Mondays, 7 p.m. - 8.30 p.m., in room 5040, Arts
Building, Trinity College, Dublin 2.
Duration
Teaching in Michaelmas term commences on
Monday, 1 October 2012 and ends on Monday,
10 December 2012. Teaching in Hilary term
commences on Monday, 14 January 2013 and
ends on Monday, 25 March 2013. There is a
one week break in each term (5-9 November
2012 and 25 February-1 March 2013) when no
classes will take place.

Russian − Advanced Russian
This course is offered to learners who have a
good understanding and command of Russian
grammar and communicative competence.
The course aims to further develop students’
knowledge of Russian language and culture.
Students’ placement in this course is based on
an entrance test (written and oral) only. Dates
and times of the test will be advised on the
course application form.
The class is held once a week for one and a
half hours. The total number of contact hours is
thirty and a half (twenty-one weeks). At the end
of the course students have an option of final
written and oral assessment.
This course will normally run if there is a
minimum of twenty students enrolled for the
year. Groups will normally be closed when
twenty students have enrolled.
