Maintaining your Website Content

It is important that the College website contains accurate and up to date information that has been proofread and checked for both spelling and grammar. There are a number of supports and resources available to help you update and maintain website content including;

  • Website Handover Sessions
    These are completed as part of website design projects by the Web Design Office and enable web author(s) to get up and running quickly. The session includes basic information on editing and formatting webpages using Dreamweaver which is the standard web editing tool for College. It is highly recommended that web authors complete the 'Maintaining College Websites' course conducted by IS Services which gives information on website maintenance and configuration using Dreamweaver.

  • Workspace for Web Authors
    This facility is run by the Web Design Office and is focused on helping web authors who are actively working on content publishing for website (re)design projects. If you wish to book the workspace please contact webdes@tcd.ie for further information.
