VTP, along with several other voluntary bodies in college, namely St. Vincent De Paul, Suas, Student2Student, FLAC, CAS and MOVE, are represented on a higher level by the Trinity Volunteers Opportunities Forum, providing a rapport for discussion and advice amongst the member organisations, as well as working together to promote on campus volunteerism as a whole;

Community Liason

The Community Liason Officer was established in 2002 by the Provost of Trinity College to build on the success of outreach initiaves between Trinity and the surrounding community. The Community Liason Office co-ordinates relationships with the localit, as well as providing advice and support to relevant campus based organisations.

TAP

The fundemental aim of VTP is to encourage children in their education propelling them hopefully on to third level study. As such we work with TAP (Trinity Access Programs), who provide support when needed, and also assist with funding for the Parallel Program. TAP was established in order to promote attendence in Trinity of less customary entrants.

St. Andrews Resource Centre

St. Andrews Resource Centre is located on Pearse Street 5 minutes from Trinity College. It provides a range of serives to the local community, including: a day centre, childcare, youth service, adult education, employment services and a range of other facilities. As well as hosting many of our tuition nights the staff at St. Andrews play a key role in organising and running VTP as a whole.
