The Voluntary Tuition Programme is a partnership between Trinity students, parents and volunteers from the local communities of Pearse Street and Ringsend. Every year we match over 400 Trinity students, graduates and staff-members as tutors with children and teenagers studying in nearby schools.
Each pair spends usually one hour a week in one of our four centres, getting to know each other and working together on homework and other educational activities. We encourage anyone and everyone to sign up, get involved, and do some teaching. Not only is it giving something back, but it's good experience, and a lot of fun.
We also run a number of smaller educational programs, as well as other educational clubs and language Classes. Students as well as parents and volunteers in the Pearse Street/Ringsend areas are members of our committee and help with supervision at our centres.
We are partnered with a number of organisations, most importantly St. Andrews Resource Centre which aid in the running the programme.
The programme is currently funded by the Trinity Association and Trust, the Students Union, and a number of targeted and private donations in cash and in kind
Feel free to browse the site for more information, and do not hesitate to contact us for more information or if you wish to get involved. Tutors registering to teach this academic year should use the link at the top
