Student Records - Certification of Registration
The Student and Graduate Records Office will certify a student's registration at Trinity College Dublin as required.
This may be done either by
- presentation of standard pro-forma to the Student and Graduate Records Office for certification and endorsement with an official College stamp, or
- requesting the issue of an official letter of certification of registration.
Certification of Forms
Forms which students typically present for certification include the following:
- Child Benefit applications
- Medical Card applications
- Grant applications
- Social Welfare
- Visa application
All forms submitted to the Student and Gradaute Records Office must be completed in full by the applicant in advance. On presentation of a valid TCD student ID card, the Student and Graduate Records Office will verify, sign and stamp the completed application. The details provided in the application form must match the current details held by the College on the student record (eg, full name, date of birth etc).
Visa application forms for the USA may be obtained from the Students' Union Office, House 6 in the Front Square. Visa application forms for Canada may be obtained from your local USIT office.
Letters of Certification
The Office routinely provides letters of certification of registration to support the following:
- Bank account application
- Garda National Immigration Bureau
- Grant application
- Immigration
- Jury service
- Landlord / Tenancy contracts
- Social Welfare
- Visa application
Certification of Registration Request Form
All requests for letters of certification must be made using the web request form, or by, completing the downloadable request form and submitting it directly to the Student and Graduate Records Office.
